Preston Kellems, 72, of Lewisport, KY, passed away on Sunday April 7, 2024.
He was born in Derby, IN, on August 24, 1951, to the late John and Edna Kellems.
Preston was a heavy equipment operator and a self-employed truck driver. He had worked with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters on a pipeline in North Dakota, and also drove for Holland Dairy for several years. He enjoyed drag racing, animals, collecting guns, attending shooting matches, working on old cars as well as owning them, and attending the Frog Follies street rod shows. He will be most remembered for his booming laugh, his bear hugs, and his love for his entire family.
He is survived by his children, Ricky Kellems-Tinch of Newburgh and Mark (Janice) Kellems of Rocky Point; siblings, Delmar Kellems of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Chris Holman, Marklee Strunk and Cole Kellems; three great grandchildren, Ian Holman, Ethan Holman, and Mavis Strunk.
In addition to his parents Preston was preceded in death by his siblings, Wayne Kellems, Glodean Kratzer, and Eddie Kellems.
Funeral Services will be at 7:00pm on Thursday April 11, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
